The word 'Holocaust' ebbs memories that are hard to forget. Memories of torture, genocide and slaying of hundreds of innocent people, young and old alike, children including! The remembrance of the World Holocaust Day is to make our younger generations aware of the fallout of such atrocities and make sure that it doesn't happen ever again. Dozens of memorials are held around the world with the United Nations spear heading all the events dedicated to the victims. Memorials are also held in London, the United States, Israel, France, and Germany. The descendants of the victimized families are invited to Germany and held a solemn prayer meeting in the remembrance of all the hapless victims. This only shows the way forward is to work unitedly, minus the war, as it is always the case that innocent civilians have to bear the brunt. Let us be aware of these mindless killings and let us create a world for our younger generations to lead a happy, meaningful life.
