Our national anthem, Jana Gana Mana.... resonates wherever Indians are living and rendered proudly after all the school assemblies every morning in our country. It is loaded with meaning encompassing from the mighty Himalayas to the Vindhyas. Composed by Nobel Laureate Shri Rabindranath Tagore on the 11th of December 1911. The first time this song echoed at the Calcutta session of the Indian National Congress on the 27th of December, 1911. The special thing about this is that the first 5 stanzas are written in Brahmo hymn in a highly Sanskritized Tatsama Bengali!
The constitution of India adopted the hindi version of the song as our national anthem in the year on the 24th of January, 1950. So much of history backing it, every Indian, from a child to an adult, renders and pays immense respects to our national anthem.
